Types of AppliancesAllesee Snoring ApplianceThis appliance is a single unit appliance that engages both upper and lower arches. The large anterior airway slot and material options ensure a comfortable and functional fit. Appliance is dual hardness with soft liner, hard plastic and made of elastsometric silicone. Also available in upper only. Removable HerbstThe removable Herbst postures the mandible forward into a “Class III” relationship. The hinging motion permits opening and closing movements. The appliance may be adjusted for additional advancement as required. Elastic Mandibular AdvancementThis appliance consists of upper and lower pressure formed splints. Special pads are embedded in the posterior quadrants to produce freeway opening. A kit of interchangeable elastic straps provides means of advancement. How Breathe Easy appliances workBreathe Easy is a group of appliances that open the patient’s airway by repositioning the mandible, tongue, soft plate and uvula. They stabilize the lower jaw and bring it forward so that the patient’s airway remains open, with air flowing freely through the nose and into the lungs.
