The Most Popular Self-Ligation System
in the World!
|
 |
 |
Damon2
features hooks for easy elastic ligation and superior patient
comfort. |
 |
Slide
opens away from the clinician, allowing clear visibility into
the slot during placement and when engaging the archwire prior
to closing the slide. |
 |
Precision
MIM slide with enhanced leading edge makes opening and closing
easy with consistent opening and closing forces. |
 |
Rounded
contours are equal to conventional bracket radii, ensuring
patient comfort. |
 |
Anatomically
correct pad contours that fit the facial surface of the tooth
provide exceptional pad-to-tooth fit for accurate and easy
placement and fewer bond failures. |

| Optimesh®XRT
pad coating increases bond strength 35% versus untreated
mesh. |

Slide
is designed to fully capture the archwire in the slot.
When the slide is closed, it forms a tube much like a
molar tube. The result is the same superior torque and
rotational control that is achieved with molar tubes. |

Superior Tooth Control
|
 |
 |
| With the Damon System,
full control is achieved when full-sized archwires are
introduced. When the slide is closed on an .019 x .025
archwire in an .022 x .027 slot, the wire is fully engaged
and fully expresses the bracket prescription. |
|
The
.025 horizontal dimension of Damon rectangular archwires and
the .027 slot depth of the Damon Appliance combined with the
usable width of the bracket means superior rotational control.
In the Damon System, rotations are not removed by placing the
archwire against the back of the slot. Doing so would cause
the detrimental effects of friction. Keeping a limited amount
of play between the depth of the slot and the depth of the
archwire of only .002" is key to superior rotational control.
The Damon System has treated hundreds of thousands of cases
to an exceptional finish. |
