Dr. J. Robert (Bob) Smith

Dr. Smith received his D.D.S. from Emory University in 1975 and his M.S.D. from the University of Washington in 1977. He received the Milo Hellman Research Award for his graduate thesis. An original member of the “Lingual Task Force”, Dr. Smith has lectured and published extensively on lingual orthodontics as well as practice management, diagnosis, treatment planning and early intervention. His international lectures have taken him to Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Japan, Korea, Australia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, France, Switzerland, Italy, Austria and Puerto Rico. Dr. Smith is the author of numerous professional publications in orthodontics. He holds membership in the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), the American Lingual Orthodontic Association (ALOA), the Florida Society of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and Orange County Dental Society.

He maintains a full-time practice in Winter Springs, FL.
