Damon Copper Ni-Ti

Designed for initial phases of treatment, Damon Copper Ni-Ti® archwires are calibrated specifically for the Damon System to deliver superb clinical performance. The addition of copper in Ormco’s patented Copper Ni-Ti wires enhances the thermal-reactive properties of nickel-titanium to deliver optimal forces and unmatched tooth movement efficiency. Meanwhile, Ormco’s state-of-the-art manufacturing and quality control processes ensure the finest quality high-tech archwires available.

Damon Copper Ni-Ti archwires:

  • Provide the optimal force required to begin unraveling severe malocclusions
  • Exhibit a more constant force/deformation relationship, providing superior consistency from archwire to archwire
  • Demonstrate consistent transformation temperatures that ensure consistency of force from batch to batch
  • Feature preloaded stops to maintain archwire position and prevent unnecessary emergency appointments

PHASE I - Initial Light Round Wires

  • Level and align
  • Initiate arch development.
  • Resolve 90% of rotations.

PHASE II - High-Technology Edgewise Wires

  • Complete leveling and aligning.
  • Resolve remaining rotations.
  • Begin torque control and anterior space consolidation.
  • Continue arch development (without the assistance of RPEs or W-arches).
.018 x .025 Damon Copper Ni-Ti (U)
(.017 x .025 or .019 x .025 Damon Reverse Curve Ni-Ti is often used in deep-bite, div. 2 cases)		 4-6 Weeks
  • Express additional torque control as needed.
  • Continue anterior space consolidation and arch development.

PHASE III - Major Mechanics
